Pastor Don Butterfield
November 2004
As I was reflecting upon this past Sunday and how exciting it was to water baptize five new believers. I couldn’t help thinking how wonderful it is to see a person’s life changed by the power of God. The Lord is doing great things in our church, and I am thankful for the privilege of being the pastor of such wonderful people. Both our morning services—the traditional and the contemporary—are growing in attendance. Sunday evening we had a powerful time of prayer, as we, as a church, gathered together to prepare ourselves for our upcoming revival services with Russ Kline. This coming Sunday, he will be with us in the morning and evening services.
I am also looking forward to our 50th Anniversary celebration on November 7th, when we can honor our former pastors, and celebrate all that the Lord has done through Belton Assembly of God. Plan on being with us for these wonderful services with Rev. Ray Thomas preaching at the 9:00 am, Rev. Bill Baker at the 10:35 am, and Rev. Rusty Thomas at the 6:00 pm service. We also want to invite everyone to the potluck dinner following the 10:35 am service for a time of fellowship.

These are good times for Belton Assembly of God. We are seeing the Lord bless us in many areas of growth in the church. We are asking for your prayers as we seek to lead the church in the direction the Lord desires us to go. We want your prayers concerning the growing needs for more space in the sanctuary and classrooms in order to do the ministry. We are also seeking direction on how to involve people more effectively, and care for the growing needs of people in our congregation.
Pray with us, and come join the excitement of being a part of a ministry that is touching and changing lives.
